Bupivacaine hydrochloride 2.5mg/ml and 5mg/ml

Bupivacaine hydrochloride is a common local anesthetic used for regional anesthesia during surgery.

Bupivacaine is indicated for local anaesthesia including infiltration, nerve block, epidural, and intrathecal anaesthesia. Bupivacaine often is administered by epidural injection before total hip arthroplasty. It also is commonly injected to surgical wound sites to reduce pain for up to 20 hours after the surgery.

Bupivacaine hydrochloride solution in a pre-filled syringe will save time in the ward for preparation of injections compared to the standard procedures used today.
